Recently diagnosed pre-diabetic. My A1C has been slowly climbing the last few years. Dr said manage your Glycemic Index and if you get the A1C down, no meds. So this app is a life saver to know the impact what I eat has on me. Needs a little tweaking here and there on the user interface, such as not having to repeatedly select the meal to enter your food, and a few other minor things. Other than that this app WILL do the job to help you manage your diabetes. It is the best one on the iPhone so far. I dont get what the NS means in the food list - Not Sure??? Also hoping the developer will look at My Fitness Pal as others have mentioned. Their interface is way more intuitive and the list of foods is better organized easier to search. So far this is the only app out there letting you track your GI and GL. Like others said it would be nice to do a look up so before you eat you can see if you even want to eat that item based on its GI and GL. Right now you have to fake adding it to what youve eaten then back it out.
